It Seems There Is No God

Sometimes I stop and try to pray.

And it just seems like there is no God.

But then I realize it’s hard to believe because I’ve confused ‘believing in God’ with ‘believing there is a God like the one I have in my head.’

And then I consider the odds, and realize that there is very likely a creator to this intricately working world.

And whoever that is, if He pays such attention to detail as it would take for this universe to run, He probably hears me.

And it’s likely that if He created the universe, he has the bandwidth to listen.

And if He sustains this universe, He probably thinks it’s beautiful.

And probably wants to hear from me.

And that makes it a little easier to pray again.
