Love Makes Us Hate

It bothers me how much vindictiveness and harshness the writers in the Bible ascribe to God’s character.

But I am learning that when you love something more, you begin to despise the things that hurt the thing you love. And when you learn to see the beauty of truly good things, the things that sully it upset you.

So this informs me that every time I see hate or brutality emanating from the heart of God it could be a reflection of the severity of which he adores us and is jealous for us, and the potential levels of pure beauty he sees being spoiled in us.
