Raw Spoon’s Full of it: first insights
Where did the idea for the book come from?
I wrote a few things, a friend said you really need to be a blogger, I started blogging, published a novel, and decided that would be a good format for my blogs and illustrations as well.
Genre of book:
Essays-ish?
Which actors would play the characters?
probably monsters made by Jim Henson and co, or from the creators of Where the Wild Things Are. They may just need to be animated.
One sentence synopsis:
This book is a series of unique philosophical thoughts and experiences on the Christian God told in every day language to touch the heart and the mind.
How will book be published:
Self-published through Createspace.com probably. Big fan of them.
How long to finish first draft:
I have been hacking away at these as they come to me for four years. maybe like 50,000,000 man hours? well, almost, but I enjoyed them.
What other books would you compare this book to?
mix between Anne Lamotte and Blue like Jazz?
What inspired you to write the book?
a friend read my writing and said, you need to blog.
Other interesting things:
The illustrations have been fun. I’m trying to make the book more of a physical product (I’m a product designer by day) than just a block of text. I hope to modify the format of my blog to be illustration driven soon so that the surfer can click on a picture they like and it enlarges it and takes them to the text. I hope to make the header bigger and animated soon. Next book will be taking the fictional stories on the blog and compiling them in a book.
