Mantras I Live By
Updated: May 20, 2019
God only asks us to do our very best with what we’ve been given each day. He will cover the rest.
We can’t always control what happens to us but we can choose how we respond.
If someone else has failed in their relationship with you, you don’t have to wait for them to repair it.
A person’s biggest weakness is often the opposite of their biggest strength. So if someone is really bad at something, that can point us to the other things we can value them for.
Trust and obey every day. Simply trust and obey.
If I’m having trouble with faith, I try to remember that God is probably way bigger than the God I’m looking for.
You can’t control who loves you, so don’t worry about it. But you CAN choose to love them.
Don’t waste your day with Tv, unless it will help you live your life like a movie of your own.
It’s not about winning at the game of life, it’s about the person you are becoming.
My desires are not me. They are outside of me and I can choose which ones to foster and which ones to fear.
I will feel “false waves of need” and “derailing waves of desire.” But if I identify them as such, they lose their power. And the waves will pass.
Shave off the unnecessary things in my life so I can focus on the things I want, and do them well.
Leave every place I go better than when I came.
Do my best in everything I do.
Do not compare yourself to any man, but only to the man God is calling you to become.
Be careful that I’m not being so nice to people that I’m no longer being good to them.
It only takes little acts to make people feel loved or unloved.
I remind myself every day to put my socks on before my skinny jeans and I still forget.
