Sometimes I find myself in a tough situation and realize I get to choose how I will respond. And I see how random it seems that good and bad things happen to different people at different times.
And I hear people decide to leave God for letting those bad things happen to people.
But this week I heard about a dude that caught shrapnel in the face and it blinded him, but he decided to not let it stop him and went on to run in marathons and Ironmans and stuff. And this opened the door for him to go on speaking tours and he inspires lots of people.
And it makes me think that perhaps what matters is not what happens to us in this world, but instead how we respond to those things.
Perhaps this world is not our platform to evaluate if God is good enough for us, but is God giving us the opportunity to choose to do amazing things in the face of this very real, random world,📷when they do happen.
