This Relationship

I realized today that I don’t have any other relationship that is similar to the one I have with God.

I didn’t trust my parents to always know what was best for me. And I cannot count on any lover to love me as pure-heartedly as I trust God does.

And if someone doesn’t have a relationship like this in their life, someone that you rely entirely on, someone that gives you meaning bigger than yourself, it seems a loss to not have felt something so extreme, abandoned and peace-giving in this short life.
